Free Teacher Open House at Albuquerque Museums: Wed Sept 22
The free Teacher Open House is open to any educator in New Mexico, including librarians, info technology professionals in schools, and home schoolers. The Open House is hosted by three museums on Albuquerque’s Museum Row in Old Town: Explora, the children’s museum and learning center, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science, and the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History. All three will be open on the evening of Wednesday September 22, 2010, from 5:30 – 8 pm, especially for educators to explore exhibits for free, learn about programs for students, and see the Planetarium program at the NM Museum of Natural History & Science.
This is a professional event so you can’t bring the family with you – sorry! The Free Teacher Open House includes:
- Live music, refreshments, and activities
- Discounts in the gift stores
- Door prizes
- Planetarium shows at 6:30 pm for K-5 teachers, 7 pm for 6-12 teachers. Observatory open for viewing 7:30-8 pm.
- Free materials from non profit organizations
No reservations needed, just turn up on from 5:30 – 8 pm at Explora, New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, and Albuquerque Museum of Art and History.
