National Parks Free Admission: January 15-17
If you’re already looking forward to the weekend, here’s something to make it even better. As part of the National Parks Free Entrance Days program, more than 100 national parks that usually charge admission fees are free for all on January 15 – 17, 2011, in honor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday weekend.
That includes free admission to these New Mexico National Parks:
- Aztec Ruins National Monument
- Bandelier National Monument
- Capulin Volcano National Monument
- Carlsbad Caverns National Park
- Chaco Culture National Historical Park
- El Morro National Monument
- Fort Union National Monument
- Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument
- Pecos National Historical Park
- White Sands National Monument
Who knows what the weather will be doing, but short of a blizzard, it should be a good time to get out and stretch the legs after the holiday feasting by the fire!
